As I've said previously, Lucca is learning new things every day. Today I left him in his crib while I cleaned up. While I was gone I could hear him huffing and puffing, throwing things around, and giggling with excitement. This is what I saw when I went into the crib....
Then he reached down and pulled this up...
Next he dropped it to the floor and looked down to make sure it had landed correctly...
Once out of his crib, we went to get some help from his favorite friends...
He was so meticulous about getting everything placed just perfectly.
Despite it being too heavy, he managed to get it into place...
Then, he was ready for the photo! Look how proud he is. But Wait! Monkey fell...
Now it's perfect.
"Happy Father's Day" he yelled!!!
He wanted to wait until Papa got home to show him his surprise. He wasn't very happy to hear that he couldn't give Papa a big hug and kiss on his 1st Fathers Day!!!
Happy Father's Day Shan. Me, Lucca and the monkey's will be waiting to give you a big hug and kiss when you get home! Have a good day riding, you deserve it.

that is SO adorable, what a cute idea! lucca honestly could NOT get any cuter... i can't wait to see him in 3 hours!! tate has been telling her babies all day that we're going to see "ucca" and "heator" later today!

Wow - this is hands down the best greeting Papa's ever received!!! I've scrolled through the pictures at least a dozen times already. Thank you so much Lucca! Your creativity is simply astounding. You are so smart to convince Momma to, er.. help you with your intricate plans. Even though I've only been gone a day, I miss you both as if it's been months. So, I better go view that set of pictures again......
It' so wierd....Lucca writes just like his mother! What an adorable message and little boy!!
